I have an old metal headboard that I would love to incorporate into my mom's yard/garden. Her flower beds are pretty small and the headboard is from a single bed yet it seems massive for those small areas. Any ideas?

I have large tall filecabinets that are being thrown away. Is there anything else I can do with with them besides. Taking them to the dump.

If she has roses or climbing vines, it would make a beautiful trellis.
When you decide on the idea - please remember to try to protect the metal with a weatherproof coating. I’ve put some metal elements into my garden and the rust very quickly.
It would make an awesome rustic bench!
Mount the bottoms in quick set cement. Plant vines like morning glory or any climbing vine on it and use as a back drop for shorter plants. Hang a wreath made of a piece of garden hose wound around several times and a small watering can in the middle with a dollar store garden shovel attached.
Anita: I love Kathy's idea about using it as a trellis! You might want to paint it white, yellow or light blue --- so that the vines really show up!
Prop it up against a fence and grow vines over it.
I would definitely clear coat it with spray enamel unless you are ok with it rusting within months.
That would be so cool with vines growing up it!
