I like to convert unusual items into planters. I spray paint with a finish that is tough and water resistant. Enamel is a good finish.

You can make a planter out of anything.I took a old bag made of straw I wasn’t using and put flowers and dirt in it it looked so cut with the handles.you could use a large basket and put it sideways and put plants spilling out.you. Oils use milk containers cut the handles off straight across then paint them to look like brick stencils with tape to make lines between the brick paint dark red then take the tape off.Anything could be a planter old watering can old gas can use your imagination and decorate it to look like something else.
