My sister showcased hers with photographs in black and white of our grandparents.
Most of the time, I see them turned into a table or vanity with the machine removed.
I turned one of my old treadle sewing machines into a small desk with a pretty piece of oak as a top that I stained a blue/gray color. The other one is on my front porch with old candle holders that have a marble base with crystals hanging around the candle holder part. I also have an old non working figural antique clock and lots of plants on it in the summer. In the winter it just sits there with maybe some seasonal decor if I want. Neither one of these had the sewing machine in them. I have seen pics of these old machines with their bases painted different colors and then used as a statement piece. Enjoy your old antique machine.
I would clean well and display items on it. The machine can be left or removed but I admire that you have it and would like for you to send picture when you get it finished!

We have two of them and use them as bedside tables in our room. Love the way it looks. They are great as a side table in the living room too - they are just taller.
Here is a great makeover... https://www.myrepurposedlife.com/singer-sewing-machine/
Side tables if they are small. They make great vanities!
Hello there,
Remove all the sewing machine and leave yourself with just the cast iron frame. Then measure the length of table you require and fix it to the base. You could use timber or marble or Resin or Slate or Concrete or even a kitchen worktop. It rather depends on where you intend to house it when finished and for what purpose it is required! Good luck and enjoy the project.................
