You can do lots of things with granite remnants! How big are those remnants? Cutting board, side table. coffee table, window sills are just small start
Make a trivet for hot pots and pans. Just glue some felt to the bottom and you can use them on your table
What size remnants do you have?
If you want to cut or drill them, a full set of 9 masonry drill bits is only $15.
To cut, borrow a 4” angle grinder and buy diamond-encrusted blades for it ($10-25, depending on quality).
Whatever you “sit” or mount it on, remember how heavy it is and plan the structure accordingly.
We used a large piece for under our fire pit on our deck
How big? Approximate size? I used as side table toppers.
I used a remnant outside for a buffet top on my deck. It great because granite is so durable it still looks good after being outside in Minnesota for three years.
I have a collection of 20 or more samples from a flooring store. i also have some larger size pieces that someone gave me from their remodelung project.
Depending on the sizes, you could use them for a path in the yard. Be aware that granite is slippery when wet though. Or use them as edging in the garden.
Depending on the size of your pieces, you might use them for keeping critters out of your potted plants-just place them on top of the soil, plus they will slow the evaporation of water and prevent weeds.
You could make cutting boards or carve animals
Hi Sally, hope this helps you out!
