You can still make your own cleaner by following this recipe. Mix:
Put the mixture into a spray bottle and saturate rug pad gunk. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away your mixture and the stubborn rubber from the rug pad.

Thank you Chas!
I have always had good luck with residue from carpet (usually the rubber backing or pad) by scraping as much as I can with a plastic scraper and then gently working Goo Gone into what remains. Gently keep working it loose until you get it all. A soft bristled brush, like an old toothbrush helps.
Hi Maig. Pour some Hydrogen Peroxide in to a spritz bottle. Spritz it on the stain and leave it alone. Repeat if necessary.
Thank you very much Cindy!

Mr. Clean, Mr. Clean, you can put it in a Bucket...
It always worked for me. Sometimes you need to let it seep in for a while, but when you scrub, it comes off.

Sand it and varnish the spot
Sometimes, it may be the light that is causing the difference in color. For example in my pantry where there is no sunlight exposure, my wood is lighter, more rosey. If that is what is going on, just removing the rug may also that would to catch up in color over time.
Awesome from Dollar Tree will help for sure
