HI Ginny,
I clean our coffee maker with vinegar which will remove odors and bacteria. Here's a tutorial that will give you exact directions for cleaning your Keurig. Wishing you the best.

Hi Ginny, perhaps this will help. http://buydontbuy.net/2019/02/12/how-to-remove-plastic-taste-from-keurig/
Use vinegar to clean the equipment well and add a good amount of vinegar to the water reserve and run a few cups of "faux" coffee through the cycle. Then do again with clear water.
Ginny....I would run vinegar through it about 3 times then plain tap water 3 times. Usually gets any odd tastes out
the key to running vinegar through your coffee maker is to turn it off and let it sit for 30 minutes once you run it through the machine then follow with water to clean it out you may have to do this a few times but be sure to turn it off and let it sit.
Cleaning is important. I remove the old filter before cleaning and put in a new filter when I'm done.

Thank you all! This is a brand new Keurig 2.0 that I bought for the office. I've used white vinegar several times with baking soda and let it sit for a few hours and then drained the tank followed by several tanks of fresh water. I'll let you know how it turns out
The smell of plastic is finally gone. Thanks to all who responded
