The easiest way to do it is to take the mirror out - usually there are screws or tabs holding it in - then spray paint the frame! :)
Hi Jackie, do you want to paint the mirror itself or the frame? You will want to tape the mirror off to paint the frame, any kind of acrylic paint will do fine.
Hi Jackie. Not sure what type of frame your mirror has but here is one that I painted... http://www.recreateddesigns.com/2017/03/make-details-pop/
Jackie: Remove mirror from frame. Use any good latex + primer or you can use chalk paint. Be sure to paint the back of the frame too --- as it will be reflected in the mirror! Reassemble and enjoy!
Unless your looking for a specialty effect, like two tone or high-low,
or you need to repair the frame first,
then the above answers should work.
If it's a mirror on a cabinet that you can't remove from the wall, be sure to tape up everything around the frame really well so you don't splatter paint everywhere, and then carefully paint the frame using acrylic paint. You may want to seal it, too.
Clean the frame. Tape off the mirror with painters tape. Then paint.

tape off the mirror with newspaper and use spray paint! many light coats to avoid drips.
Paint for glass is what you need. I painted a mirror with chalk paint once and made it it a chalkboard
If you can't take the glass out, use frog tape around the rim and paint. Then remove the frog tape while the paint is still a little wet.
Hello Jackie,
Use artist Oil brushes for best finish as you can get into corners of the frame etc. without getting paint all over the Mirror. Hope that helps.
Here is how I did it on my blog https://www.homeroad.net/2018/04/a-neutral-bathroom-makeover.html
