Consider using masonry stain rather than paint to reduce your ongoing maintenance. All paint will peel off brick, usually within a year or two because moisture migrates through the pores and separates the paint. Masonry stain allows the brick to breathe and doesn't require as much maintenance
Laura Cooper is absolutely right. Use solid masonry stain and roll it on with the thickest nap roller available. Buy a few rollers because they get flattened with use. You will also need a large paintbrush to fill in gaps between the bricks that the roller can't get into. It will probably take two coats. The stain penetrates the brick while paint sits on the surface. Paint will flake off eventually. We stained our hideous orange brick 10 years ago. It has been through 100+ degree weather in the summer, torrential rain when our area flooded, and freezing temps in the winter. Still looks great after a decade. One more hint: Roll and paint above the dirt line all the way around and come back and do the area closest to the dirt at the end of the day. Use a separate container with only the stain you think you will need for the area close to the ground. You will get debris from the ground into your stain and on your roller. You don't want to contaminate the entire can of stain.Start with a fresh roller for your second coat and pull the old roller out of the plastic bag that you stored it in overnight (sealed up tight so it doesn't dry out) to do a second coat near the bottom of the house.
