Hi Anita. Use a cleanser that contains bleach, like Comet or Ajax. Pour some in the toilet bowl and scrub it with a non-abrasive scrubbie. Don't flush it right away. Let it set in the toilet bowl overnight. Then flush the toilet. If you do this once a week you should not see any mold again. Good luck Anita.
Clean the toilet with vinegar and a toilet brush. Also add a cut pf vinegar to the toilet 2-3 times a week.

Hello. There are many bleach-based commercial cleaners out there that you might consider using. Cleaning the toilet or at least weekly should Help stop the problem.
Usually it's a dirty toilet tank that releases and feeds the mold. Turn the water supply valve off. Flush the toilet and let the tank drain. Clean the tank with an all purpose cleaner and toilet brush. Rinse and flush. Then put some vinegar in the tank and scrub. Vinegar kills mold spores. Turn the water back on and flush.
Hi Anita - There are several ways to get rid of mold, but most importantly, you need to address the root cause to keep it from returning. This article focuses on the bathroom, but is an overall great article that covers methods of how to remove mold, if bleach is safe to use, and how to prevent it from coming back. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly

William is right, the mold is coming from the tank, each flush renews the supply of it. Good directions on how to clean the tank.
Mold grows very well in moist environments. Prevention is the best way to control mold, clean it thoroughly at least once a week-this is the toilet bowl, rim, & seat. Also the addition of borax (laundry aisle) into the toilet will help prevent the growth of mold and mildew.
If your bathroom is especially moist, you may want to consider a dehumidifier.

Are you using a bleach based cleaner? Try that!
Clean the toilet once a week with bleach
Pour a little bleach in the toilet bowl and let it sit until the mold is gone then flush it.
Clean it often and try spraying some bleach in there every once in a bit.
Regular cleaning but also add a bleach tablet to the tank of the toilet.
To get rid of toilet mold with vinegar, you first need to pour 1 cup of vinegar into the toilet bowl and another cup of vinegar into the tank with the water.

If the toilet is left for some time, and you don't want to drain the system, then put some toilet cleaner in the bowl before you leave, it should make it easier to get a clean toilet when you return.
