How can I repair cracked grout?
I have some grout that has separated from the tile & want to fill the cracks. Can I simply fill in the cracks with sandless grout or do I need to totally remove the old grout and refill these areas? If it's best to remove the old grout, what is the best method to do so?

Hello,
Use a Dremel to remove the grout, but you could give ready made grout a try and fix the cracks first and if it works - then ok! If not use the Dremel drill. Best wishes
Covering will only last a short time. Remove most of it with a tool. Try what that call a multi tool. Then refill.
Hello this happens from time to time to everyone.
I suggest removing the old grout and replacing it. You can either use a manual grout saw or something motorized like a Dremel. Remember to wear eye protection.
Hi! Patching or covering is a very temporary fix. You will save time and money if you remove the grout and replace it correctly. Good luck and stay well!
One of the easiest ways to try and repair cracked grout is to simply use grout caulk. This is a substance that matches the color of grout exactly and comes in a normal caulking tube. You can simply squeeze the tube in a caulk gun and apply it to any cracks that you may have. Make sure to smooth the caulking over by wetting your finger and running it over the repaired area. This tends to work better on very small cracks in areas that will not see high traffic. However, it is the easiest method available.
