How can I cover apartment walls?
Can any specific type of contact paper (or other brand) be easily removed from apt. walls? The walls are standard sheet rock painted with a matte, cheap paint. Any other suggestions for easily-removed, non-damaging wall covering? Thanks much.

Contac brand makes a self adhesive removeable paper that is thinner than their traditional Contac paper. I used it to line the back of my kitchen cabinets and hutch. It is definitely thinner, a bit harder to handle because it is thinner BUT it did work well to pretty things up. I recently removed it all from the cabinets and hutch to redo. it came off very easily and left no adhesive behind. Do NOT confuse it with the regular Contac paper. I found it at Walmart and it comes in a few different patterns.

Thank you so much, Mogie.
Sharon: you could hang a curtain rod -- and put sheers (or some other fabric) across the wall.
Buy removable wallpaper, not contact paper. https://www.charlestoncrafted.com/how-to-hang-peel-stick-wallpaper/

Get some removable wallpaper. It is similar to contact paper but is made to remove later by peeling off.
You could try a stencil then when your done. Just paint over
King-size sheets can cover a lot of wall rea. Do NOT use contact paper, you'll end up damaging the walls when you remove.
Contact paper is not really that easy to install nor remove. Keeping it straight and air bubble free isn't an easy task. Taking it down could damage the walls and you will be responsible for it. I would go with the material idea. Tack a thin strip to the top and bottom of the wall and attach material to that. You could do a large accent area with a king flat sheet. Patching tiny holes in the wall from the strip of wood is far more practical.
I did that on focal wall in my B/R. Matched simple bedding & window curtains. It really looks fabulous! Easy to take down too..I used a small staple gun & caulked tiny holes when I took it down. Easier to install if you have another pair of hands!
That’s because of the staple gun use a putty knife it will go on faster or use a sponge and then wipe off
