How can I create an enclosure for my electrical box in a bedroom?
We recently created an office and bedroom in our lower level. The contractor was suppose to "create" a door to cover the electrical panel but hasn't yet. I'd like to give it a shot on my own. Any ideas?

I would simply for now you paint stir stick and staple them together to create barn door like door
Hi Shirelle is it kind of a closet so it needs an actual door or could you hang something over it like a painting?
If it's?flush just hang a picture or mirror over it. If sits outside on wall you can build a box that would just hang on wall. Or you can do what I did get a few baskets, one large enough to cover box. Hang back side out and others around it to create wall collection of fun baskets or boxes. It was quite attractive.

Hello Shirelle,
Wait for the contractor to finish the job. Cover it with a big picture canvas in the meantime, or use it as a sort of notice photo display board meanwhile..........
Putting anything flammable (photos, fabric, canvas, etc.) directly onto an electrical panel is Not Recommended.
I agree with Flipturn, it is not the best idea to put anything onto an electrical panel. See what your contractor suggests. However you could build a storage room, like a pantry around it with plenty of space to allow access.
You can hang a picture or canvas over it. Either on a hinge, traditional, or magnetic. I added magnetic strips to the back of a canvas and it is easy on/off when we need to get into it.
Here's one idea that might help - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4Md4F550F8
Maybe for now place a folding screen in front of it but you should wait for the contractor to take care of it. Electricity is not to be meddled with, you could burn your house down.
How about using an idea like in this vintage window shadow box? Only for your application, don't make the plywood back, and have the window so that you can swing it open to access the electric panel. You could do a window film or curtain inside the glass so you didn't have to see the electric box.
Could you just hang a large picture over it
