You could paint it!
Here are all kinds of ideas for you. They don't have to be used on a round pot! Get creative and have fun! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oHsIvIZBB8E
You could spray paint or add vinyl. Then put a clear sealer if you don't want to change again.
Collect silk flowers with large, flat flower blooms. Cut the flowers heads off the stems and hot glue the silk flower buds around the plastic pot to cover it completely.
Purchase colorful glass discs from your hobby shop. Hot glue glass discs to the outside of the pot.
Take an old jig saw puzzle and attach it to the pot with hot glue. Bend pieces slightly to fit them around the pot then seal the project with spray shellac.
Hot glue toy cars onto a plastic pot to prepare it for a kid’s room. Make it even more fun by painting a road on the pot with acrylic paint first.
Decoupage your plastic pot. Rip up plain brown paper bags and attach to the pot with decoupage medium. Crinkle brown paper first to add more texture, then seal with a final coat of decoupage medium.
Paint your children’s hands with acrylic paints, then press along the sides of the pot to leave colorful prints. Add a few paw prints from your family pets to make it even more whimsical. Seal with spray shellac or a clear weatherproof sealant.
Hot glue bark from trees, leaves, moss and twigs to the outside of the pot. Use spray shellac to seal the project and protect it from dampness.

Is the pot going to be used indoors or outdoors?
This will be a factor in choosing what to decorate it with.
Hello I got an excellent result using plastic friendly spray paints I spray-painted a bunch of mismatch plastic and metal planters a few years back and they still are looking great even with outdoor exposure..... have a look
You might consider wrapping it with fabric or rope. I recently saw a post where discarded rope necklaces were used to jazz up an indoor planter. They simply glued the beads directly to the planter in rows and it looked very 'boho".
Hi Terry. You could use stencils to decorate your pot. You could also create a design by making stripes using painters tape. Good luck Terry. Stay well.
