Try a sawmill if you have one in your area. It is also available on Amazon.

It depends what you want it for, there are places that will give it away, but they have swept it up and it may possibly have other debris in it.
This, on the other hand is organic and chemical free: sawdust
EX: Furniture makers, woodcarving shops, construction sites, home improvement stores, lumber yards,
Hubby used to work at a saw mill. They have piles of the stuff. Also most wood workers (hobby type) have excess saw dust. Also makes a great fire starter in a wood stove.
Hi! Someone working on a construction site should be able to give you some. Cutting 2x4's creates quite a bit. Good luck and stay safe!
Depending on how much you need, you might also want to try asking at Home Depot in their lumber dept., where they cut pieces for customers.
You can buy it from Amazon - https://amzn.to/35K2pq5
I went to lowes and where they cut the wood, they will be happy to just give you the saw dust. Home Depot does that too.
Hi Katy, if you know anyone who does wood work, you can ask them for the sawdust, If your area has any kind of forestry or timber industry, go to a small local sawmill. They will have mountains of sawdust, and you'll know it's clean and safe, probably coming straight out of the pine tree. They may also have planer shavings. You can also buy it from home improvement stores like lowes or home depot

what will you use it for ?? some wood is treated so chemicals will be in the shavings ; some shavings-the wood/sap itself cannot be ingested some shavings are used as bug deterrents and will cost more; anywhere where wood/lumber is bought or sold ; craigs list; ask on your local Nextdoor site ;check any construction sites you see: any cabinet woodworking shops by you; for pet bedding check local barns and live stock suppliers; local garden nurseries; companies that rent out mulching equipment
Sawmill, cabinet maker, lumber yard.
