Cover up textured glass window?

Hello. I’m not too sure how this window looks without a posted pictures, could you frost the whole piece of glass with an etching cream or is it a possibility to apply a window film over the glass to conceal it.

Believe it or not, you can frost glass with a special type of spray paint. Rust-Oleum manufacturers a popular paint for this.

Or you could go with a window film.

The other thing I can think of would be to etch the glass but that is permanent.

I think if you try to frost the glass with a spray you will still be able to see the pattern because you said it was textured. Is it anything you could try to remove with a razor blade? How exactly is the window textured? Part of the glass or was it applied? Hard to tell without seeing it. I think that a different textured privacy window film would work the best. You would still see the butterfly pattern on the outside of the window but maybe not so much on the inside.

The window film you would need will have to block the pattern completely, it would be very difficult to fill in the butterflies with some kind of application.

Try a window cling film. I bought Rabbitgoo brand off Amazon. It is easy to apply and should do the trick. Here's the one I purchased:

You don't have to replace the window. You can just replace the glass. There's a removable molding on the inside you can usually pop or pry off to replace the glass.

The spray “frost” will not last in a bathroom, I found out the hard way.

If you can’t get the glass out, then yes, a film will work.
