What should my new theme be?
I am moving, and I would like to have a nice bedroom. It has wood floors, witch match my wood desk. I was wondering what you guys thought... New rug, colorful blinds, and some art ideas/ things to put on walls! I hope I can get your creative minds flowing in this COVID-19 situation... Good Luck and Thanks!

What about a Moroccan theme? Some rich, jewel-tone colors and some pouf pillows!
If you enjoy the ocean, a costal theme would be great with the wood floor and desk. Use an old tablespoon, canvas on sale at art store and craft paints: teals, blues, tans and white. Squirt lines of paint on the canvas horizontally , then use the back of the spoon to spread out the paint to look like a beach scene. Tans on bottom, teals in the middle and blues on top. Add white for waves and clouds. Just a suggestion. Good Luck
Modern farmhouse. You could put barn wood up on one wall. A nice blanket ladder with some quilts folded on it. I have seen some beautiful wire pieces. I have a wire duck and a wire basket. You can pick up an assortment of wicker at your local Salvation Army. And Amazon has some great and huge wall clocks for cheap. If you know someone that carves wood have them make a piece just for you so it reflects your interests.

Sometimes it isn't so much as a new theme to start off your room but more like an inspiration piece. If you like beautiful rugs, then start your inspiration with a rug that you love. Or if you like art...find a piece that sings to you and use all the colors in the artwork to decorate your room. Or if you like solid rugs but want patterns on your pillows or bedding, then bring in an inspiration pillow or bedding that you love and work around that. What I love doing is searching through magazines and looking for pages with color combinations that I LOVE!! It might even be an add not a decorated room. But it is the focus of how I want my new room to look. If you really love themes, you can do that too but make sure your colors all revolve around your inspiration:). Good luck!
Do you have a picture of the roo. So we can see the style. It will make it easier to help.
A form of farmhouse seems to the most popular right now. Boho chic is also popular and has stood the test of time. I try to stay away from trends and go classic but I say "to each their own".
It sounds like you have some great ideas. For a really bold statement, you can make a frame and use a staple gun to attach a creative shower curtain to the frame. That is a bargain way to get a big piece of art on your wall.
Hi! Why not take a test and find out your decorating style --- then go on your quest!
