How to hide ugly shelf brackets?
We have several shelves on those ugly old metal wall brackets. I would love a creative solution to hide them of cover them.

You could just buy some new brackets! There are lots of decorative ones available at places like Menards or Amazon for very reasonable prices! You could also spray paint them a fun color if you didn't want to buy new.
How about putting up a skirt attached to the edge of the shelf? You could make an attractive edging from gift wrap or a shelf liner that could hang over the edge?
You could add wood trim to the front and sides of the shelves to hide the brackets. Would make the shelves look more chunky. If the brackets are really large painting then the wall color would make them less visible. Otherwise you can replace them or make them into floating shelves

You can paint them or cover with contact paper.
Paint them. They will bend right in.
If you haven't already, why not paint the brackets the same color as the wall where they are installed. You could purchase some faux vines or greenery and add that to the areas where the brackets are located.
If it was me I would paint the brackets the same color as the wall so they blend in so they don't stand out as much.
Or ditch the metal brackets and make some from wood. They are usually smaller and much easier to paint.
I am with GK, replace them. Wood, wrought iron, etc. So many styles available at all price points. No need to live with unattractive brackets. Or paint them the same as your wall color to make them disappear as much as possible. Big box home improvement stores, hardware stores, craft and hobby stores, etc.
Replacing them would give you the best outcome. If you can't, paint them to match the wall. Good luck and stay safe!
You can paint to match the wall. that's the easiest cheapest thing
Hello there,
Maybe they could be covered with something like a video case or a cardboard box that you could paint? Stick artificial plant material onto them. Wrap fairy lights around them, Add Bows?????
I would paint them to match the wall or shelf.
