Peel and stick over plastic tiles?
I have beige plastic tiles in the kitchen that go up a little over halfway that has a curved cap on top and I have a lot of walls with it, will I be able to use peel and stick over it instead of taking them off?? I had cupboards refaced, new counters, floor and appliances, I should of done that first but now I’m over my budget.

If you clean them carefully first, and the surface is level, it should adhere. Check the product you want to use for recommendations. You might be okay short term. But, you might want to remove the plastic tiles first to give you a better surface, depending on how they are attached. Without seeing it, it's hard to know for sure. Good luck and stay safe!
I am wondering if maybe you can't just can't paint those tiles.
Below is copied from a Home Depot website regarding painting plastic tiles.
The first thing you are going to want to do is clean the wall with Tri-sodium Phosphate (TSP). This will both clean the surface and degloss it. This step is particularly important if this is a backsplash in a kitchen because grease and grim splatter can really effect the outcome of the paint job.
After that, you will want to make sure the surface is dry. Drying it with a lint free rag or shop towels would be the best.
Then, lightly sand the surface by hand with 180 grit sandpaper or sanding sponge. Once you have slightly roughened up the surface, run a tack cloth over the surface so you don't have sanding dust trapped under your paint.
Next, prime the surface with an oil based primer. Then, once the primer has dried (drying times vary depending on the specific primer you use) paint the surface in your color of choice in either an oil based or latex based paint.
Thank you so much for fast reply’s that were so helpful😇😊😷
Peel and stick will adhere to the plastic tile but probably not the curved cap. Also the added weight may cause everything to fall off. You best bet would be to paint the tile.
Paint the tile or buy the stickers that are meant for tile. Peel and stick floor tiles won't work on the wall.
Thank you great idea.
