Hi Jeanette. You should be able to unscrew the screws that are holding the latches in. Either a phillips head screwdriver or a standard screwdriver will do the job. Good luck Jeanette. Stay well.
They should just be screwed on.
They just unscrew from the back with a screwdriver, select the correct one for the job.
They should have screws, but if they're stuck, spray with some WD-40, let it sit for a bit and then try again.
A photo would help if we are not understanding your question.
I agree with others that they should probably unscrew. An electric drill on reverse might help if you're having trouble getting the screws turning. If they're not screwed on, try posting a picture to give us more information. :-)
