What is the best compact circular saw?
Hello
I always see smart and simple DIY wood projects that I want to create but they require some wood cuts that would be so much easier if I had a compact electric/battery saw. I would like it to cut plywood, and thinner wood thicknesses but if it could cut a 2x4 that would be awesome! I live in a condo so compact is a must!
Thank so very much for your suggestions!

They all will do the job. The Worx is currently the cheapest to purchase. The more expensive are the battery powered ones. If you are doing most of the cutting inside and cost is an issue get the one with a cord. Even a full sized one doesn't take up much storage room. They all will do what you need. Decide on price and comfort. Go to Home Depot and try them in your hand. They are all on display.
I have this compact circular saw and it works pretty well, plus it's fairly small. It doesn't have as much power as a full sized one, but it'll get most jobs done: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00GTEU0M4/
Here's a nice little Ryobi skill saw! Battery operated! Doesn't take up much room at all!

I have a compact Dewalt circular saw (skill saw) that I really like that's been going strong for me for about ten years now. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure you have more than one battery on hand. In my experience skill saws drain batteries REALLY quickly. Good luck and have fun!
I have a Milwaukee 12 volt saw. It has a small blade, but will cut a 2x4. Another saw that I have is by Dremel (saw max I think), but it will only handle small stuff. I mainly got it cut plastic laminate (Formica), but it will cut up to about 3/8" thick.
We use a ryobi battery powered!
You can check into a zip saw or a vibrating saw. They aren't much larger than your hand. Go to Harbor Freight's website and check theirs out.
We have a Black and Decker saw. The corded ones cost less and you don't have to also store the charger and lithium battery. Good luck and stay well!
I am a huge fan of the makita brand.

We love Dewalt. The quality is excellent.
I have the Ryobi 7" chop saw that I use for all my projects.
