Upcycle a old jewlery box?
I recently was given my grandmothers jewelry box and It needs help. I would like to upcycle it to make a craft supply cabinet. I know I saw someone's idea on hometalk, but I can't find it now.

How pretty! Paint it with some chalk paint, distress it slightly, finish it with a coat of water based poly. I like the hardware but you could change it out or spray paint for a different color.
Paint with chalk paint and switch the knobs
new knobs would go a long way!!
Thank you all for helping me today.
You can chalk paint the wood and spray paint the pulls. Depending on the color you choose, you could leave the pulls. I would think it's an easy conversion. But it would depend on the supplies you want to store.
Have you one a hometalk search? If you ever want to go back to see a particular project, just click on the little blue house at the top of this page, left-hand corner. If you can't find a particular project, you can use the search bar. Also, please consider checking out "Explore Projects" for even more additional ideas.
Hope this helps.
All you need to do is to remove the hardware, tape off the parts you don't want to paint and then use a chalk based paint to paint the wood. You may want to seal it with a spray sealer when you are finished.
