If you have a really big pot, adding cinder blocks is a good way to take up space and save on dirt or soil!
I have a large planter on my front porch that I put a block in to both weigh it down and take up space. Works great! Good luck and stay safe!
I have used blocks, rocks, or bricks to minimize the amount of soil needed and to add weight. I live in a windy area.
