Just realize paint will only be a temporary fix. It will peel and be a big mess once it's scratched.

I agree with Kelly. If the sink is an over-mounted sink with a rim, (not like the integrated sink and counter in the photo above) and if it is badly stained, it may be more cost effective to simply purchase a new replacement. A brand new sink will certainly have more longevity than a painted old one.

Depending on the size of the sink, it would probably be best to just purchase a new one. An overmount in a square shape will would look great. And they are not that expensive. If it is an undermount, you need brackets and some DIY skills but it can be done.
