Retique It for formica countertops?
We have a beautiful 1920's designed farmhouse built in 2003. I have red formica countertops with wood trim. Do you think it's possible to use 'Retique It' on the formica and what would I seal it with? Thanks for your help!🌴

Yep you could. You still would need to prime the counter. Seal it with three coats of a water based polyurethane.

you could seal it with one layer of envirotex. (epoxy resin). It would look like a bar-top. You need to use a blow torch to remove the bubbles after the pour. You will get a smooth sleek result.

Envirotex Lite Pour On Epoxy Resin. Envirotex Lite is a water clear reactive polymer compound. It cures to a thick, glossy coating in about 8 hours at 70°F, and reaches full strength and toughness in about 48 hours. This durable, resilient material requires no polishing to produce a high gloss.
It is hard to work with on the sides, you have to make a frame so it doesn't drip everywhere. But it is durable.

I have spray painted counter tops with stone effects, and sealed with pour on epoxy, similar to what is used on bar tops. I am sure you could seal this finish with the same method.
Isn't Retique it for wood? I think I would use Rustoleum's tintable countertop products specifically for formica...... https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&hs=bQz&sxsrf=ALeKk03Am7IQVxb8uJP9kigqoFF1FPbaaw%3A1592095220827&ei=9HHlXumOMsG5-wT9g6GQDw&q=sealer+for+formica+countertops&oq=sealer+for+formica&gs_lcp=CgZwc3ktYWIQARgBMgIIADICCAAyBggAEBYQHjIGCAAQFhAeOgQIIxAnOgUIABCRAjoFCAAQsQM6BQgAEIMBOgQIABBDOggIABCxAxCRAjoECAAQAzoECAAQClCniwFYvbABYI_MAWgAcAB4AIABswGIAcUQkgEENS4xM5gBAKABAaoBB2d3cy13aXo&sclient=psy-ab or I would use epoxy
