If the crack is along a seam where the sheets of sheetrock meet, you'll have to scrape off the 'popcorn', make the repair and then respray that area. You can buy patch in a spray can for popcorn ceilings.

Hi! You may want to check out the reason for the crack... like foundation issues.
Otherwise, this may help:

Hi, Here are some tips... https://homeguides.sfgate.com/fix-crack-popcorn-ceiling-47050.html
Just know that if the ceiling is older to begin with, once you repair it, or even during the repair, depending on method, you're likely to cause more of it to come down! I tried painting over ours and it started to stick to the roller and peeled off! Sorry I don't have any repair advice, but just wanted to give you a heads up as to what might follow!
I would check for asbestos before proceeding. It's hard to match that type of finish, but, worth a try if you want to keep it Good luck and stay safe!

You can repair it with drywall mud or spackle. Then Get a can of Homax texturizing to match your ceiling. It comes in popcorn to rough. You can find it at Lowes and Home Depot.
Hello there,
Not something that can be done very successfully, but you could use Spackle or general filler. Use a pallet knife to create the finish. Best of luck!
Fill the crack with sheetrock mud and paint. If it is a tiny crack, painting might fix it by itself. If the crack is too large, you might have to re texture the area. You could use a spray product from the paint section of Lowe's or Home Depot (hardware stores may have it too).
