How can I restore white marks made from MrClean Sponge on my granite?
I mistakenly cleaned around my granite sink with a Mr Clean Sponge not knowing you were not supposed to clean granite. Now I cannot remove this white residue left behind. Is there anything I can use to restore it back to normal? Thanks for the help and any tips on how to clean granite countertops are appreciated!

You could try some granite polish. The magic eraser is very fine sandpaper like. It has taken off your finish. Do not use vinegar or any acidic it will further ruin your granite. They sell a color enhancer sealer that may work too. Go to Floor and Decor or Home Depot and buy a granite polish compound. granite polishing powder: Also called stone polishing compound, powder offers a quick and easy way to put a fresh gleam on granite while removing minor scratches and stains. If using it dry, choose a buff polishing pad to work the polish over the surface of the granite in a steady, circular pattern.
You could try a polishing compound to see if the shine come back.

Hello. I would suggest trying a paste wax or beeswax polish if you have it. That might restore your shine.
I would use a granite cleaner (follow directions on bottle) then a granite polish/sealer and that should do the trick
Home Depot and most all hardware stores carry these items

Hi Chris, have you tried some baking soda and water? You mix it into a paste and use a soft toothbrush and give it a light scrub with the paste. Hope you are able to get it off! Good luck.
Perhaps try this, it is for a regular stain but maybe it'll help lift that white residue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4dLCFKuFDY
No that’s is lime on there get your self some comet or lime away and clean it with that isle a scrubby that won’t scratch
It looks to me as if you've taken the finish off the granite. I would just apply some granite sealer.
Clean well and rinse with clear water and dry well, then apply granite sealer to the dull area. It should shine up just fine to match the remaining countertop.
it needs to be polished off again so I dont think there is anything you can do all by yourslef
Be sure the area is very clean and allowed to dry. Then apply sealer.
You have obviously removed the finish, so try to use a coloured wax polish to see if it can be recovered, or ask a granite seller or kitchen top people what they can suggest!
