How does James pinch suckers in the tomato cage?
I have been told that you have to prune the tomato suckers on their vine. So, how does James do that with the cage and also the plants are really tight? How can he even see the suckers? Or does James NOT pinch the suckers?

Thank you for your hasty reply. The suckers, I'll never understand. I like the way you talked about the plants, "be the bushy little plants that they need to be".
Hi, Toni, it looks like you were looking at https://www.hometalk.com/diy/grow/tomatoes/tomatoes-and-their-need-for-water-446407 perhaps? I see it was written by someone named James. Perhaps comment on that post asking him about the suckers -- unless the good folks here have already sufficiently answered you!
Tomatoes and their need for water
MH, thank you for taking the time to find James' tomato cage. I thought I was on his page; that's why I asked the question...I am dumb. I like the site that you are on; you are all so sweet and helpful. I have already put you in my Favorites so I can find you any time I need to. Right now, I'm going to go to James' page and see what he says about suckers on tomatoes. Thanks again.
No you don’t pinch anything
Hello Toni,
Remove cage or get inside if big enough. Go along every plant taking out the suckers growing in the elbow of the branches. It will make your fingers green, so wear gloves!.
I dont know who James is, but I pinch off the lower suckers. You can see they will not get big and they will not blossom.
