Have you tested the power to your outlets? You may want to bring in a professional electrician. If you have a problem with the electrical within your walls, it could lead to a fire or someone being shocked badly.
Hi! ...this is one for a certified electrician !!!
Do you mean your overhead lights are not working? If a quick look at your breaker box gives no clue, call a licensed electrician.
First thing I always check is the bulbs. Okay? Then the circuit breakers. Sometimes they look like they are on, but, if you shut them off and then back on, you can reset them. I admit to paying an electrician $60 for an hour to check my outlets and circuit breakers in our new house. It was money well spent. Good luck and stay safe!
Hi this is Peggy. I hope this helps you, but I would suggest having and electrician check out your home, electricity can be dangerous and could start a fire. Stay safe. Why do my outlets work but not my lights?
The problem may be a loose connection or a tripped wall outlet on the same circuit. The first thing you'll need to do is turn off power to the light switch before handling it. When you're sure the breaker is off, remove the cover plate and unscrew the switch.

Normally, the wiring is separate for these two items. You may have attic pests that have chewed into the wiring.
If it was my home I would call an electrician to check this out.
