white vinegar can be used straight.
Hi Ter........, the mixture I used routinely and have for years is: 1 gallon white vinegar, 1/2-1 cup table salt (Epsom salt can be used) and a big squirt of Dawn dishwashing liquid. Mixed together, it can be used from a spray bottle or a garden sprayer and sprayed onto weeds,...large and small. The Dawn keeps the mixture on the upright weeds just a bit longer. Just remember, the mixture will "kill" or damage any living plants, so be careful to apply only to plants you don't want any more.

All-Natural Weed Killer
1 gallon of white vinegar, 1 cup of salt and 1 tablespoon Dawn.
Mix together and spray in the morning on a sunny day. The sun seems to help "cook" the weeds with the help of the vinegar and salt.
Be careful not to get this mix on any plants you want to keep.
