A-Frame Backsplash &Countertops
In my A-Frame cabin one side of my kitchen is a wall perpendicular to the floor. On the other side the wall follows the angle of the A-Frame roof; 13 degrees with the wall slanting in toward the ceiling. Should the backsplash follow the slant of the wall or should I build it out to be perpendicular to the countertop?

Peel & Stick backsplash on an orange peel wall.
I would like to add a backsplash in my kitchen but the current wall has an orange peel surface. Will probably try the peel and stick tiles.
without seeing a photo it is hard to visualize what you are dealing with but I would think adding backsplash at an slant might be tricky- you might want to take a photo to your nearest tile shop or even home depot type store and ask them the best way to handle this-

I think it would be funky and cool to follow the slant! Why Not, it's an A frame!
I would go with the slant of the wall for better coverage and continuity. You could temporarily put the tiles up there to the best of your ability to see which does the trick for you, at least to give you a general idea. With the tiles cut to fit the space it will give you a more tailored look. Or you could cut pieces of paper about the same color as the tiles, tape them up, and see which you like...slant or perpendicular.
An A frame house is unique and anything to enhance the uniqueness of it would be a good fit.
I would follow the slant. That's what makes it unique!
To show off the uniqueness of the A-frame, I'd opt to install the backsplash on the slant but keep it relatively clean, simple design. On the plus side, you'll end up with a bit more counter space! I'm sure if you use individual tiles a tile shop can advise you about how to install it if you DIY. Good luck!
Hi Candy follow the slant, it will look brilliant, and will give your back splash some character
Hello I would consider using the slant but using an uncomplicated tile design.
Hi Candy. I too would follow the slant. That way you would stay in the style of the A Frame. Your cabin sounds awesome. Good luck Candy.
Hi,
Follow the walls you have. Use a simple tile so you do not draw attention to the area you don't like. Best wishes.
Hi! I think this is a good approach:

I would cut backsplash to match the slope.
Mmmmm, interesting question. I would try to match the slope, but it would depend on what you'll be using for the back splash and how easy it is to cut. and whether you can hide any miss-cuts with a rail of some sort. Either way I'd love to see how it turns out when you're done Candy.
Follow the A Frame wall. Use craft paper to make templates for your cuts.
I would follow the line of the counter across
I would follow the line of the counters and the A frame
Hello, I would go with align it with the countertops, then you can just trim them to the angle of the wall.
