How to reuposter chars seats using pillows?
Have to redos seats on two chair seats due to moisture damage. I am using craft pillows on the steats but want to wrap the edges before covering with fabric. I bought a roll of medium poly-fil project fleece but it seems a little flimsy. Is ther something better I should use. thanks

Jan,
If you know exact measurements of seat when finished, you might consider sewing the pattern, leave an opening to fill empty corners and straight areas with fiber fill stuffing staying consistent bottom and sides.. Place your pre made pillow in, then continue tightly filling all around areas to your likeness of give. That's why I say, do opposite end of non-sewn opening first, so you don't have odd bumps or unevenness,
By chance, after Xmas last year, Target was selling everything dirt cheap. I bought 40 bags of fiber fill @ .10 (cents) a bag.I have used it for everything, from stuffing handbags (in a baggie), making cording, using when I mail a delicate as is very light, making stuffed sachets for drawers, etc.
If you are putting the pillow directly on seat, you could still fill in w/ the fiber, then either tape, or have a helper, use an old sheet over pre-pillow and stuffing, and pull taught to staple in a few areas, before adding material. Not seeing your plan, hope this at least gives you another idea. G
Hope you took a set to read this long thought. Good luck.Cindy
Hello Jan,
Upholstery grade Foam?
Hello would felt be an option?
It is smooth and soft and thin.
You’re wanting to re-stuff them or re-upholster them too?
I think I'd be tempted to wrap the pillows in batting. That's what they usually do with upholstered pieces and that's what I do when I change the fabric on my kitchen chairs. It just gives a little more sturdy padding and shape. Something like this: https://www.joann.com/10oz-x-48in-x-18yd-poly-by-the-yard/9443037.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp9CN6uXD6wIVCaCzCh1m7gB-EAQYASABEgKuePD_BwE
Wrapping the pillow with the batting will give you a better cushion. Good luck and stay safe!
YOu can add extra batting
