Hi Vanessa, I think I would stick with a basic color, maybe black? Would make your front door pop with that beautiful red
Thank you, its such a small but important decision. I really appreciate your input!
how about black?
White, unless youโre going to paint the garage door black, then Iโd go black.
Be sure and buy vinyl ones with the color in the vinyl, not coated.
This is because they will need to be washed periodically and you might try shooting a hose at them from a step ladder.
Black is classic. Or navy?
Black would look good even if you painted the brick. That is a color that goes with everything.
I would go white so the stand out against the brickwork.
I see gray in the brick. Consider gray shutters, with matching front door and garage door. Good luck!
I see black color. it will nicely compliment bay window roof line
Are you wanting to put shutters on the insides of the windows or on the outsides? If the latter, there may not be enough width on the right side between the window and the light fixture/grey brick trim.
Hello Vanessa,
I would say Dark GREY! I Might even consider putting up a Trellis on the far side of the downstairs window in White to balance up where there is no window.
Best wishes. P.S If you are still not sure whether to go white or Grey or Black, why not start with White and if you don't like it change it to Grey and if it is not quite right colour then paint them Black! It is easier to go over a light colour with a darker one than to try to put a light colour over dark!
Was wondering what the white patch is above the second floor window, the width of the window that extends into the roof?
And is that an eaves/soffit running side to side of the roof with a break above the window? Whatever it is, could it be continued or joined the gap needs filling in, it has a choppy effect.
If you would like shutters, go with the gray, and paint the door to match. Hope I did not hurt your feelings.
Yes, that is soffit, and I will have to find out my options regarding the choppy effect. And no you did not hurt my feelings. All answers are very much appreciated and thank you for bringing awareness.
Black would look nice.
I would go with white. Black would get lost against the dark brick. The gable is white and white shutters would give the window a larger look to the eye.
you really don't have enough space to add shutters on the window since the door is so close on one side
I suggest white. It will open up the look of the front of your home.
I agree with those who say black. I think black shutters with that shade of brick looks very classy and stately on homes. But, that is just the look that appeals to me, however, you may prefer a less traditional or more contemporary look.
Perhaps you may find it helpful to check out a site such as zillow.com or realtor.com and look for brick homes that are similar in color to your brick and have shutters. You could find something you may not have otherwise considered. :)
