Oh my mom had some from her mother too but they were chair seats. She framed hers and hung them on the wall. You could cut the excess fabric and frame the pretty parts.
Bev: I would USE them! ...life is to be enjoyed... and she probably did them out of love!
Hi Bev, you can put them on toss cushions and display them on the couch or on the bed, switch them out often, or think about putting them into a frame and hanging them. Hope this helps

Make a table runner of them by basting them together. You could also stitch together, add a border of material and use as a wall hanging.
I made these when I was an early teen, I am now a grandmother, I still use them and plan to keep on doing this. I did not make them to hang on a wall, but to use and enjoy.
Frame them in shadow boxes?
You could put on pillows and display on the beds as throw pillows for some. You might frame in a floating frame for a few. If they are embroidered on the edges only, you could consider converting from pillow cases to napkins.

What a wonderful way to honor your grandmother's beautiful work! You could frame them individually or as a set and hang them on a wall. Alternatively, you could drape them over a quilt rack or ladder for a cozy and homey display. Another option is to use them as decorative covers for accent pillows on a couch or bed. They are too lovely to be tucked away in a closet! BTW, if you're looking for some soft and eco-friendly sheets to complement your display, you might want to check out Cariloha bamboo sheets. They are not only sustainable but also incredibly comfortable!
If you don't want to alter them in anyway a shadow box.
