I want to share my idea for candlemaking made easy. Read on to see one of my common problems and how I solved it.

Don't you just hate it when your favorite candle burns out and there is still quite a bit of candle left in the container?

Yeah, me too!!

I got an idea recently, and decided to give it a try. And, guess what, it worked!

This is one of my favorite candle scents. I used to sell these volcano candles at my shop and it was definitely a customer favorite too. What frustrates me is they don't always burn to the bottom and I end up with quite a bit of candle left over.

It dawned on me recently that I have a candle warmer. And just maybe I could salvage the left over candle wax.

I remembered that I also had a package of wicks that I purchased years ago and had never used. You can purchase wicks at most any craft store.

supplies

All that I needed for this project was the candle wicks, hot glue gun, candle warmer and a container for my candle.

I remembered a set of vintage dessert glasses I had on hand, and I've never even used them. I bought a set of 4 at a thrift store a long time ago, and they have been sitting in the cabinet ever since. The color, style, and size was perfect!

step one

My candle was a bit larger than my candle warmer, but I just sat it on top and it worked just fine. In about 30 minutes, the wax was completely liquified.

step two

While my wax was melting I used a drop of hot glue and glued the metal bottom of the wick to the bottom of my container. When it was dry and secure I wrapped the wick around a pencil and rested it on top of the container.

This will keep the wick standing upright until the wax is solidified.

step three

Once the candle was melted, I carefully poured it into my new container. It sat for a couple of hours and was completely solid.

step four

I removed the pencil, cut the wick down and voile'! I had a brand new candle made from one of my favorite scents.

Hopefully, this 'candlemaking made easy' tutorial was helpful and inspired you to try it with one of your favorite candles.
