Trendy DIY Blanket Ladder (Anthropologie Inspired)
When I saw this decorative ladder from Anthropologie, I knew I need to have one! When I looked at the price, the DIYer inside me whispered that we can totally do it! And we did! Here is a tutorial to DIY blanket ladder inspired by Anthropologie!
Those ladders are great in the bathroom, or living room and could be used either for towels or for throw blankets.
The height of the ladder is 64″. I cut 5 dowels at 14.5″, so overall width of this DIY blanket ladder is 16.5″.
Make 7/8″ holes on both sides. Test on scrap wood before you try on your board. When you test the drill bit, Mark, how deep it can go without drilling through to the other side.
I went further and added brad nails on the sides, to make sure glue bonds dowels tightly with the sides.
Apply the masking tape in the middle and spray paint the bottom with metallic paint or use this metal effect paint
That's it! The ladder is ready! If you have a drill press, it would make the job so much easier, but the regular drill bit works fine as well!
