Here's a step by step on how to repair a wooden table that has water damage. See if you can assess how much damage you have, hopefully very little:

If it is superficial, you can lightly sand it and refinish. If it is more severe, you may need to replace the top layer.
Hi Debra, it will really depend on how deep the water damage goes (and what type of wood it is). If the water damage is just on the surface, you can use a hand sander to lightly sand the damage off. If the water has seeped down into the wood, unfortunately it is very hard to get rid of sadly :(
Sand it and wipe new coating of finish on top. If you just do the spot it will show. Finish with a fresh coat of polyurethane to protect the new stain.

Hi Debra, you can put a dollop of mayonnaise on the water marks and leave it to soak into the wood overnight. Wipe the mayo off and buff with a lint free cloth afterwards
Hello Debra,
You could try Mayonnaise? Oil and Vinegar!
After your wood table is appropriately dry, check for any white spots that may have formed on its surface. There are various homemade solutions for cleaning such places. You can use turpentine, mix water and household ammonia in equal parts or even make a solution of baking soda and toothpaste on a ratio of 1 to 1. Dip a clean, wet cloth or sponge in the mixture and rub it against the spot and around it to remove the mildew. After you remove all the spots, use a dry cotton fabric to polish the area.

Hello Debra,,
You could try Mayonnaise or even metal polish, I've used both in the past. Good luck!

Try the mayo method - that is the easiest to try first!
If the water damage isn't too severe, and you don't want to do major sanding to retain the table, you could try painting it with chalk paint, which requires minimum prep work. You can read about DecoArt's chalky finish paint in this post, which is my favorite chalk paint: https://momhomeguide.com/chalk-painted-jewelry-chest/
Or, you could use milk paint by General Finishes, which doesn't require a lot of prep work, and is extra durable; I painted my kitchen cabinets with their milk paint, and the finish is very easy to clean. It comes in a lot of colors: https://momhomeguide.com/best-way-paint-kitchen-cabinets/
General Finishes also makes a gel stain, which doesn't require a lot of prep work and is popular with homeowners who want to update and rehab and old table. This blogger did a nice job updating her table with the gel stain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU2UKRR7_04
