Wood tile crafts?
Hi! I purchased 4 inch square wood tiles from Amazon with intension of making photo ornaments but... way too big (in my opinion) for ornaments .
the only other thing I can think of is to make coasters but not sure who I would gift them to. I’ve made them in past and I don’t think they would be in demand
so the question is what else can I do with them. I have a bunch!
i have been on Pinterest and have googled ideas but it’s all coasters
Thanks in advance for ideas

Use them like clay/porcelain tiles to resurface an old table top, then apply grout. Decoupage front and glue magnets on the back for use as refrigerator magnets. Glue them together side to side, then decorate as you choose to make table placemats. If you can't find anything that you want to make, donate them to a senior living center for their crafts.

Everyone can always use a set of coasters. I just bought a package of limestone 4" tiles, put felt self-stick glides on the bottom, and gave them away as coasters. You could do the same thing to your wood tiles, and I think the picture ornaments are still a good idea.
I have seen these tiles used for a connect 4 game, scrabble letters, tic tac doe etc. My favorite is the scrabble letters. You can make words for fall, spring, Christmas etc.
If you have lots why not do a photo collage for your wall. They should be big enough for that.
You could maybe make these (you may have to cut the wood down a bit): https://www.curlycraftymom.com/2020/04/farmhouse-mini-stacked-books-diy.html
Personally I like large ornaments! Make one and see what you think! Good luck!
Hello. I think they would make a nice holiday or decorative painted garland they’re not too thick/heavy. Using stencils would be ideal for the fabrication.
You could use some for extra house number/name signs (for your driveway, porch, etc.) Some folks like to have their surname beside their house numbers.
Hello there,
Us them to cover an old table top or other piece that could do with an upgrade! Use on the front of Drawers or on a box. Stack them and drill through to make space for a metal tube, Brass, Chrome, Copper and make as base for Lamp!
I'm thinking put one letter per block and then do the "scrabble" wall tiles.
This is what I did with my 4" coasters from Hobby Lobby. Mini Wood Sign. I am also making signs with them for Christmas. They fit perfectly on tiered trays and will stand up by themselves.
Hi Peggy, you can combine the wooden tiles together to form a tray. Each tile can be stained a different color to create a pattern or perhaps even a picture. To join the tiles together you can cut a backing board from MDF. You can also create a very interesting piece of art for you gallery wall.
