I don’t want to screw anything into it. I would love to add a mirror but I worry that it might be too heavy and fall if I just stuck it on the wall.
If you don't mind holes, use masonry nails or hardwall hangers. Otherwise, try Command hooks. Here's a link with more information:

Hi Tere. You can use Command Hooks to hang just about anything. Just be sure to buy the correct weight of what you are hanging. Tere, you could also use masonry screws to hang your pictures. Good luck. I hope you are well.
Hi Tere, we stay in a brick home and command strips don't work too well. I think they're better suited to completely smooth walls. Most of the times we use a hilti to hammer nails into the walls for hanging pictures. Hello,
You could use Masonry nails or Drill, Plug and Screw. Best wishes
I would drill holes and add plugs for screws. Command hooks will not really stick because the cinder block is porous.
The Command hooks might form a better bond with the paint on the wall than the paint itself to the drywall or cinderblockc. I have had experience with ceramic plates mounted with Command hooks and they crashed even though it was the right weight range. They just pulled right off the wall, paint and strip still attached.
Drilling holes for anchors and nails might be the best bet. You can always try the Command Hooks and see if they work or not .
I have just discovered an "as seen on tv" product that might work for you. It's called Alien Tape by Bell & Howell. It sticks to almost any surface but can be removed. It's stronger than command strips. The only issue is they warn against using on sheetrock. It sounds like your application would be perfect.
