BEFORE

I just LOVE decorating with photos!

Seriously, there’s nothing I love more than looking back at the memories and times we’ve created together as a family.

So if you give me a blank wall a gallery wall may just appear!

And I had a big blank wall in our family room.

Since the wall is so tall I decided to hang 4 large custom canvas prints in the same size in a grid pattern with a single farmhouse style barn light above.

I wanted to order the 20×24 size and used kraft paper to visualize the layout I wanted.

After receiving the canvas prints I used command strips to hang them.

After hanging the four canvas prints I stepped back and knew there was something that wasn’t quite right.

I realized that the 4 canvases looked a bit lost on that tall wall.

I wasn’t worried though because surely hanging the farmhouse-style light above would help…but after holding the light up there it still looked…well…too small.

I decided I needed 2 more canvas prints to fill the space better.

Instead of hanging one light above the grid style gallery wall, I decided to hang 3 light fixtures.

The new gallery wall with 6 - 20x24 canvas prints and 3 swing arm light fixtures above is just what this large wall needed.
