How do I remove dog urine stains from a jute fiber rug?
I've tried regular carpet cleaners and they don't work very well on this type of material.
Hi Lois, we use good old fashioned duct tape to pick up all the dog hair from our rugs. A really hard bristle brush broom will also lift the hair.
Here are some techniques for you:

You can purchase a brush that is designed to remove pet hair from rugs and upholstery. That should work well. You can also sweep with your broom, just turn the broom on it's edge and sweep that way to make it more efficient for removing hair.
Have you tried a rubber squeegee? (I think I spelled that wrong!) Works like a charm for me.
Some of the newer vacuum have pet hair remover rollers. You can buy hand-held ones too.... https://www.amazon.com/s?k=pet+hair+vacuum+roller&crid=2W0CNWCLYIM3X&sprefix=vacuum+roller+for+pet+hair%2Caps%2C261&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-a-p_1_26 I just use a velcro lint brush for my cat hairs cause he lays in the same spot all the time.
If you have a dog, brush him/her regularly with the type of brush that gets that undercoat out.... then there won't be as much on the floor.

Hi Lois. You can use a spray bottle full of water to spritz your rugs and then sweep up using a good hard bristle broom. It will also pick up anything else lurking in your rug including dust and dead skin cells. Good luck Lois.
A damp sponge works well on rugs or fabric furniture, even hair that hasn't been removed by a vacuum cleaner.
I would do it on the inside .you could buy a stained glass kit to do the window it comes nice it sold by michaels crafts or on ebay
Hi! Vacuum, vacuum and vacuum and then shampoo. I also go around the edge of the carpet with a damp microfiber cloth. Keep a waste basket at hand because you will be shocked at how much is stuck in the fibers. Good luck!
My daughter uses rubber gloves to remove pet hair from her sofa. Works well. Don't ee why it wouldn't work on rugs, too. She doesn't have to try on her rugs - her vac has a powerful power head that does a great job on her rugs.
