Hi there! Here's a step by step tutorial: https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/how-to-clean-blinds I also know that swiffer makes some pretty nifty products too that make it even easier!
f they are really dirty and you don't want to replace them, try taking them down and placing them in the bathtub with hot water and dawn dish soap. The dawn will help cut the grease that collects in grime.
I hang mine over the tub. Wet them down with water. The spray them with an all purpose cleaner. Use a duster to scrub them. Rinse and let drip dry. Soaking them in water may affect the strings .

I use a white sock on my hand and lightly spray it with water and that way I get both sides of the slats at one time as I wipe and clean
Hi! When I can wash them outside, a child size wading pool is perfect for washing and rinsing. I always dust them first; so I don't have mud to clean. You can spread them out on a towel or hang them up on a clothesline. Inside, I use the bathtub the same way. Use a mild liquid soap was washing. Soak overnight in the tub if they are really grubby! Good luck!
I do what Cynthia does, but I have also washed blinds in the shower. I have command hooks that I put a clothes line on when I wash them. Works good in the shower and a bathtub.
For a quick clean you can use a duster or a wrinkle dryer sheet.

Depending on the degree you need to clean, you can use a microfiber duster. Canned air or a blow dryer also works well to help encourage built up dust to loosen so that it can be dusted. If they are severely dirty, I would take them down and either clean in the tub or take outside to wash down with a water hose.

We have those metal mini blinds that were the rage back in the 70’s. Couple times a year (besides just dusting regularly) I remove the blinds, hang them on the side of my wood fence and open the blinds. I then spray them with simple green, let sit for a couple minutes and rinse off. I do flip the blinds so I do both sides. I have 1 blind that I use a very soft bristle scrub brush as that one gets dirty more since I keep that window partially open year round.
we’ve been doing this way over 40 years…. So the simple green doesn’t seem to hurt the blinds or string pulls.
