You can do this but there are a lot of things to consider. Building permits will need to be pulled. Adding a roof that will be incorporated into your existing roof is probably the most complex part of the project. If you don't have extensive construction experience, I would hire someone to draw up the plans at the very least.

Sounds like a great idea! Would you just want to install windows with screens? You may have to spend a bit more for custom windows.
