Hi Deeje go to your local transfer station, they'll have a spot for paint :)
Check with your local authorities on how best to do this, every area is different. It also depends on what kind of paint too, oil or water-based.
Contact the Public Works Department in your city or town. They will tell you what to do with it, depending upon whether it is water or oil-bas. Some cities have recycling areas set up so people can drop such items off and others can "shop" and make use of the items.
How to Dispose of Oil-Based Paint Safely:
Latex paints are not considered hazardous and can be thrown away in the trash if you follow a few guidelines.

put sand or cat litter in the cans and close up call your local recycle centers and ask them where to take for disposal
Hi Deeje, check with the local municipality you are in, they likely have a place to take it. You can also make sure it is fully dried out and then it can just be thrown into the trash.

Open the cans and let it dry out. Often your local waste removal company will take it.
You can simply add some dry soil, sand or sawdust to the to it, then allow it to harden. And take your paint cans to your nearest household waste recycling centre – your local council can let you know where this is.
Let it dry out then just throw it out or recycle the can

Hi, You might be able to donate it to a Charity Project or the Local Authority may have a special place you can leave it.
Our local dump has a once a year recycling event..... call your local dump.
Check with your county health department. Ours has twice a year when you can get rid of hazard materials products.
Also you can visit www.PaintCare.org or call 855-724-6809
Look for recycle centers like this one near you - https://www.denvergov.org/content/denvergov/en/trash-and-recycling/hazardous-waste/reduce-paint-waste.html#:~:text=Residents%20and%20businesses%20in%20Colorado,at%20any%20PaintCare%20drop%2Dsite.
IF you open the paint cans the paint will dry out and that helps. Then use your county health dept for places that will accept it.
Open the paint and fill the cans with cat litter. When it is all dried up it can be disposed of with your regular trash.
I take the lid off and let it completely air dry rock hard, then I throw it away.
Let it dry up and you could just peel it off
Let it dry completely. Put cat litter in it
Hello,
Donate it to a Local Project or Call Local Authority for information.
Our town has very specific rules. It must be brought to the town center. I would check your town hall to see if they have such rules.
