Is it worth painting laminate kitchen cabinet doors?
I want to revamp my orange laminate kitchen cabinet doors but not sure if it’s worth painting. I’m looking at using Dulux satin paint.

It's all about the prep! Make sure to clean them well (TSP will help), let them dry thoroughly, and prime with a good primer. Good Luck!
Hi Shiela, Libbie is right on point! Prep work is the key to your success in cabinet painting. Since you're just painting the doors, you might look into removing them and spray painitng them for a brush-mark free finish. Have you considered doing that?
We painted them in our first home and they lasted a long time and looked great. We primed them first and the used a roller to add the paint. The local paint store guided us and it worked out really well.

It boils down to how you prepare it, and ensure that you are using a good primer.
I used a kit by Rustoleum, Cabinet Transformations. I think you can use it on laminate as well; you might check the directions. It made life very easy. You can see how I did it here: https://www.flippingtheflip.com/2015/09/kitchen-cabinets-black.html
You can definitely paint laminate. The key is good prep. Here's a link:

I would cover them for durability. Laminate doesn't take paint well.
Check out Velvet Finish paint. I used this on my cabinets and, with dogs, kids and a bull in the china cabinet spouse, it has held up 100%!!! Amazing paint and process. And the owner will answer ALL your questions ... she is awesome. Order the 3 products needed to do the job as described on the website ... a tad pricey but oh so worth it ... very little prep work to boot!
