I think it would look neat to attach them to a canvas in a varied pattern and use it as art or sew them together and make a purse.
You can make a beautiful flower bouquet out of them!
@Sharlote Here is a link to get you started but google how to make zipper flowers and you'll find lots of videos and tutorials. http://craftsncoffee.com/2012/09/05/zipper-flowers-an-old-sweater-one-very-zippy-fall-wreath/
Jewelry. ...... Depending on the length... you can square off the edges a bit and then fray them. Stitch each tail end together to make one bracelet per zipper.
@Sharlote Your welcome! :-)
become a sewer
@Maryellen Eldredge I am a sewer but there is no way I could ever use all the zippers I have collected over the years. lol I am going to check out Pinterest as suggested by Patti Phillippe.
If you type “zipper” into the search bar on Pinterest, you will find a plethora of ideas to turn your zippers into something practical, whimsical, artsy, crafty, etc. I love old zippers!
Thanks Patti..going there now.
If you have used all the zippers you can on craft ideas, and still have some more leftover, then my suggestion is to donate them to a nearby school or college that offers sewing or fashion design classes.
Zippers are expensive to purchase. I'm sure cash strapped creative students will put them to good use.
