Marion Nesbitt on Aug 24, 2015Have a multi-floor home. These are great. I clean them and use them as pails for washing floors, etc. Used one for mixing 2 gallons of paint to ensure colour consistency. Also use them for storing extra curtain, door, window hardware. Numerous storage uses.Helpful Reply

Barb in Texas on Aug 24, 2015They make great buckets to store cat food in, with a scoop, so less messy than the original bag. I also feed the birds and other critters, label them and they hold the food and the animals can't just help themselves and make a mess in my garage. If you're not concerned about looks, they are great for plants, or you can fit them into a prettier pot.Helpful Reply

Debra Pilchard on Aug 24, 2015As most know we here in Ca. are in a major draught but this could work during any season. I drill holes in the bottom and on the sides and bury them about a foot from my trees or grapes ...etc. you fill with water and put the lid back on and it helps keep the water from evaporateing. The water seeps through the holes to the roots of the plants therefore not wasting any water. My water bill is so low family asks how come my bill is so low this year.Helpful Reply

Pete Sakes on Aug 25, 2015I saw where one person wrapped/glued the litter bucket with twine and made sturdy baskets to store things. I can't find the post or I'd share the link.Helpful Reply

Carole on Aug 25, 2015Someone on Hometalk used them to fill in the bottom of a large planter (just place in planter upside down). This way the large, deep planter needed less potting mix to plant out. You could also remove the handles if they have them and paint the kitty litter containers and use them as planters. If you can paint them who will know they are kitty litter containers rather than planters?Helpful Reply
