They sell do it yourself kits at home improvement stores. Something to consider.
Make sure bathroom door is at least 32" wide. Most current modular tubs are composite. Find your water lines, mark on tub. Take reciprocating saw and cut in half. Remove both pieces after you have shut off water and disconnected lines to faucets. Find a replacemen tub /wall set that comes in pieces, none more than 32" wide. You will need to build some sort of support under tub most likely. Check makers instructions.
Our contractor did it in our manufactured, but it was a big job. He cut out the old tub and replaced it with a walk in shower. If you want another tub you might want to consider one of those that fit right over the existing one. If you want a shower I highly recommend you find a contractor who knows the ins and outs of working on modular homes.
I have replaced tub in ours by cutting it out and then removing toilet to add new tub ,its very tight ,I slipped a tow strap around and lowered in place evenly ,as with the huge holes I put in the wall beside it I finish cutting the wall board out and created a built in shelf ,it was accually a happy ending accident, good luck ,it can be done ,not in one day with myself working alone ,the tow strap was a blessing.
Thank you for the answers!
