Peacock Feathers and Gold! My Daughter's New Nightstand.

by Jen Burns
My daughter asked for a night stand so I dug through my stash to see what I could come up with. I absolutely love how it turned out and she couldn't be happier.
I started with a vintage French Provincial side table that had seen better days.
A good cleaning and light sanding to knock the shine off.
A couple of coats of Sweetie Jane milk paint
General Finishes Linen to accent
Freshened up the hardware
A few hand painted details
Sealed with Polyvine Wax Finish
And she was ready to go.
The feathers were painted with rose gold craft paint and a stencil cut with my cameo.

Did you just lightly sand that before painting? I have the exact same tables, and was about to sand the top, and front of drawer, but was going to sand all of the stain off. Now am wondering just how much to sand!
