How do I get the maximum storage space out of a small room and closet?

I'd like to make more storage in my craftroom? I currently have to file cabinets with a old door on top for sewing table. I use the old filing cabinet for storage. Then there's two dressers in there I one to be used as a dresser, the other two stores some crap supplies. Did in the closet I have a bookcase and some plastic storage chores that hold old photographs and other miscellaneous things. So how do I get the maximum space for storage?

RichTina, you can go up. I really like putting in shelves on the wall above the other furniture and lining that with tubs or fabric cubes
I use dressers that are not being used in bedrooms...they work quite well especially for material, etc.

I do have some dressers in the room that I'm not using at the moment. As you can see in the pictures below this is my dilemma it is a really small room the green dresser it was my son's old dresser and he's now 35. I thought about storing some craft items in there. Then I have that other decorative dresser thought I thought I would keep us the nice dresser. Then in the closet as you can see I have a four shelf bookcase that I'm desperately trying to get my husband to go through and select what books he wants to keep. Would anyone suggest that I cut down the green dresser(1st two drawers) and make that a cubby for the printer I put that maybe in the closet and take the books and put them there. All and any advice is very much welcome thanks guys when I get it all together I'll show you the photos.
