Depending on your use for the bedroom, and the size you have plus your budget, you could add a wall (using drywall or even a curtain) closer to the center of the room. This will give you the much needed storage and a larger surface to decorate. If that's not an option, you could use a few of those cube storage boxes along a short wall. Some stores even have combination sets of them with drawers, cubes and cabinets. That will provide lots of storage. For decor, if you like patterns, try some paper on the wall with the peak and complimentary color(s) on the sloped walls. If someone is actually using the bedroom, get their input for the color scheme.
I would put shelves in the closet and or the in the sloped area . You can also use a cube storage unit , you can configure them in different ways . You can make a desk area in the slopes area with some shelves on the side. If it's a child's room hang a curtain to cover all of part of the slopes area & make a special play area or reading nook !
Build cupboard s around and under sloping area. Centre the bed in the room. Or build the bed above cupboards.
Add bins and baskets for extra storage. I would paint it all a light color to make it appear bigger
